You can get your Matric results by:

Going To Your High School

You can receive your Matric results at the High School you wrote the exam. This only applies to students who recently wrote the Matric exam.

Online

You can get your Matric results directly from the Department of Basic Education (DBE). Simply follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Go to the DBE website.
  • Step 2: Enter your examination number in the block provided.
  • Step 3: Press the “enter button” and wait for your Matric results to be displayed.

USSD

SABC Education has created a USSD code you can use to get your Matric results. You will receive your Matric results as soon as they are released.

Simply register using this USSD code: *120*45856#

Follow the steps and remember to enter the correct examination number. If you enter the wrong information, you will not receive your Matric results via SMS.

Newspaper

You can find your Matric results in selected newspapers. This only applies to students and their parents who have given media outlets written permission. Not all results will appear in newspapers as they have in previous years.

This is due to the “Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA),” which protects students’ personal information. Only your examination number will appear in the newspaper. Your Matric results will not appear in the newspaper if you have not given written permission.
